South Korea anti-APEC riot

South Korean protesters pull rope in an attempt to break through shipping container blockade placed by riot police in Busan, South Korea, Friday, Nov. 18, 2005. A group of some 4,000 protesters had marched through the port city before reaching the blockade in a road near the convention center, a venue of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. The demonstrators dispersed after several hours near the venue that saw clashes between some of the crowd and police. (AP Photo/Danfung Dennis)

I'll go out on a limb here and guess that it's the east part of South Korea? Even though I suspect he meant North Korea. Then again maby he meant the east part of North Korea... of which I know very little but perhaps it's the worst part.

Policemen choose to be policemen, and so choose to deal with the consequences. If they have the right to attack protestors its about *@#!*! time protestors fought back. At least they dont hide cowardly and claim 'just to be following orders'

The gouvernement has the monopoly on violence as it is their responsibility to secure public order. And I'm very happy they have, because I wouldn't fancy myself having to restore order, neither I would fancy disorder, nor just have the strongest militant group in the neigbourhood securing order.

Of course the violence should be appropriate to the specific goal and situation. If not, you should be able to sue them for inappropriate violence. But BE BLOODY HAPPY the police does this very unpleasant job for us...

The riot police didn't choose to go there. We were all conscripted you bastards. Ever heard of the draft?

Do ur research. Some of us get conscripted into the army, and some of us get conscripted into the riot police. Have you been in those riots? Protestors were fighting for self defense? We have no right to complain because we chose to be the riot police? Like i said, do your research first.
